Holy shit. He’s back!
Liam Neeson (read: all-around cool bad-ass) is ready to use those “very particular set of skills” which endeared him to audiences everywhere in 2009′s Taken. Taken 2, the sequel to the surprise 2008 hit Taken, is in the middle of production but the film is already highly anticipated, at least by this writer.
Neeson was always known as a great actor but Taken showed audiences how much of a badass he could really be (as if saving 1100 Jews from certain death wasn’t cool enough. The plot is supposed to involve Neeson’s character, former CIA agent Brian Mills, who gets kidnapped and must be saved by his daughter (Maggie Grace). I’m a little concerned by this basic plot description. Remember, that’s the same stupid daughter that got snatched and nearly sold into prostitution in the first film, but let’s wait for a full trailer to judge. In the mean time here are some photos, via Entertainment Weekly, of Neeson in action.
Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape. Taken 2 will be in theaters October 5, 2012.
